Over 3 lakh administered polio drops in Haryana
Chandigarh, Oct 19 (UNI) An estimated 3.43 lakh children under five years of age have been administered polio drops at specially set up booths in four districts of Haryana-- Ambala, Kaithal, Kurukshetra and Panchkula on the first day of the three day pulse polio immunization campaign.
While stating this today, Health Minister Kartar Devi said that the campaign had been launched following a confirmed P1 wild polio virus case in neighbouring Patiala district of Punjab She said that this campaign would continue for another two days by way of house-to-house activity in the districts.
The left out children would be administered polio vaccine drops on October 20 and 21 by house-to-house teams.
