Officer in-charge suspended

Darbhanga, Oct 19 (UNI) The Officer-in-Charge of Kamtaul Police Station was today suspended for dereliction of duty.

District Police Superintendent Pankaj Kumar Darad here said the officer in-charge Vijay Kumar Bharti was suspended with immediate effect after a complaint against him. He was accused of exterting money from innocent persons after implicating them in fabricated cases, the complaint was primafacie found to be true.

'' Directive has been issued to initiate departmental proceedings against Bharti,'' he said, adding Mr Ajit Kumar Singh had been posted as the new Officer-in-Charge of the police station.
