Notorious supari killed nabbed
Gulbarga, Oct 19 (UNI) Police today arrested a notorious supari killer identified as Suryakanth Varik (35) in Aland town in the district.
The arrested was allegedly involved in several criminal cases including double murders at Umarga village in Sholapur district in Maharashtra, and attempt to murder of Ashok Chavle, Vice President of Aland in 2006.
A police team led by Asst Superintendent of Police Kousalandra Kumar, on a tip off raided his hideout in Aland town in the district and arrested him.
The police said that Suryakanth was a member in dreaded Harijan's gang. Harijan was killed in a police encounter few years ago. Police said that the accused involved in murders, extortion and dacoities in Karnataka and Maharashtra.
