NDF activist arrested

Kannur, Oct 19 (UNI) Police arrested one NDF activist near Kadachira in the district, suspected to have links with the two militants, who were killed in a shoot-out with security force at Kashmir on October seven, here last night.

Police said the arrested was identified as P Abdul Jaleel (38), a painting worker and an NDF activist, Kannur SP S Sreejith said the person was under observation and noted that he had changed his SIM card on October five. On investigation, it was revealed that the militants suspected to be Keralites had contacted him from Kashmir through his old number till October three, which lead to the arrest.

Police identified that Abdul Jaleel has relationship with the militants of two suspected Keralit members of Jihadist cell and were killed at Lolab valley in Kashmir on Octoer seven and ten while trying to cross the Line of Control.
