ISRO chief offers prayers; seeks Balaji's blessings
Tirumala, Oct 19 (UNI) Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman G Madhavan Nair today offered prayers at the Lord Venkateswara temple to seek blessings for the successful launch of 'Moon Mission' PSLV-CII slated on October 22.
The Chairman, who arrived here from Chennai last night, was accompanied by top scientists and ISRO directors and participated in the early morning seva at the Tirumala temple, according to sources.
Earlier, he was received at the temple by TTD officials and after darshan was presented with Sri Vari prasadams.
After darshan, Mr Nair along with space scientists, proceeded to SHAR in Nellore, to oversee the 52-hour countdown for Chandrayaan I beginning around 0400 hrs tomorrow.
