Heroin worth Rs 75 crore seized

Amritsar, Oct 19 (UNI) The Special Narcotic Cell of the Punjab police today seized 15 kg heroin near the General bus stand here this morning, Two people, including an ex-serviceman from whom the drug was seized were taken into custody and later arrested under the NDPS Act, Narcotics Cell S P, Parveen Sinha told UNI.

The value of the heroin is estimated to be around Rs 75 crore in the international market. The drug was smuggled from Pakistan and was being shifted to a 'Safe' place.
