Goa: BJP demands Ravi Naik's resignation
Panaji, Oct 18: Manohar Parrikar the Goa opposition BJP leader on Saturday, Oct 18 demanded the resignation of home minister Ravi Naik, alleging failure to maintain law and order in the state. He alleged that the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) was involved in the desecration of temple and idols.
He also alleged that the banned organisation has been making attempts to restart terrorist activites in the state. For this, they have roped in local people for creating disturbance. These people have desecrated 20-22 shrines till now, but the government has not taken any action, he said.
In case of religious outburst, Mr Naik will be held responsible for the same, Mr Parrikar added.
