Election Commission announces JK poll dates

New Delhi, Oct 19: Election Commission of India on Sunday, Oct 19 announced the Jammu Kashmir mini general election dates. Election in JK will be held in seven phases from Nov 17 to dec 24. EC said that election will be held in 87 seats.

The first phase of polls will begin on Nov 17. The second phase on Nov 23, third phase on Nov 30. Fourth phase of polls are scheduled on Dec 7th. Fifth and Sixth phases are on Dec 13 and 17 respectively. The final phase of polls in Jammu Kashmir will be held on Dec 24. Counting of votes will take place on Dec 28,
