CEC to review MP Assly polls preparation

Bhopal, Oct 19 (UNI) Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) N Gopalswami would take stock of preparations of Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls here on October 23.

In a review meeting here, Mr gopalswami would take information from all the divisional commissioners, collectors, Inspector Generals of police (IG), Deputy IG and superintendents of police about the preparation regarding election and accordingly would issue orders, State Election Office sources said here today.

In this regard, chief election official J S Mathur discussed on all the important issues with all the district collectors through video conferencing yesterday.

Election Commissioner Navin Chawla and Y S Qureshi may also arrive here, sources added.

A notification would be issued on October 31 about the polls to be held in the state in 230 Assembly seats in one phase on November 25.
