12 ft long sand cricket bat for Tendulkar
Puri, Oct 19 (UNI) Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik has created a beautiful sand sculpture on the famous Puri beach to congratulate the Little Master for his recent feat of amassing 12,000 runs, the highest in the Test cricket.
Mr Patnaik used seven tonnes of sand and slogged for five hours to complete the 12-foot long sand bat and some cricket balls at Puri beach last evening.
Several people gathered at the beach to watch the sculpture and express their congratulations to Sachin Tendulkar for his achievement.
Mr Patnaik has recently won the World Sand Art Championship title in Berlin. He is the first Indian to be honoured with this title.
He has already participated in more than 37 international sand sculpture festivals around the world and won many prizes.
