Winter sets in, mercury dips

New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) The cool weather in Delhi continued today even as the Sun shone bright in the sky after a cloudy weather over the last three days.

Cool winds which have, since the beginning of this week, given Delhiites the much needed respite from warm and humid weather conditions, today led to a drop in minimum temperature, from 18.6 degrees Celsius to 17.5 degrees.

The maximum was recorded at 32.1 degrees against 33.1 degrees Celsius yesterday, one degree below the normal temperature for this time of the year.

The cool weather is likely to continue on the weekend with the weatherman forecasting a drop in maximum and minimum temperatures tomorrow, to 33 degrees and 18 degrees respectively.

The Met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours.
