Veteran journalist Meraj Mohammed passes away
Hyderabad, Oct 18 (UNI) Noted Urdu journalist Meraj Mohammed died here last night at a private hospital due to ill-health.
He was 78 and is survived by three sons and two daughters.
Mr Meeraj Mohammed worked for more than 30 years in "Siasat", an Urdu daily, in different capacities and later joined Urdu daily "Munsif" as News Editor.
He was cremated today.
Indian Journalists Union National Executive member M A Majid and Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists Secretary Riaz Ahmed paid homage to the departed soul.
APUWJ General Secretary Y Narender Reddy in a message said with his death urdu journalism in Hyderbad had lost a veteran.
