UltraTech Cement Q2 net dips 11.65% at Rs 164.19 cr

New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) UltraTech Cement Ltd today said it has posted a 11.65 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 164.19 crore for the quarter ended September 2008, as compared to Rs 185.86 crore for the same period last year.

The company, however, registered a 19.57 per cent growth in its net sales at Rs 1,396.21 crore in the second quarte of the current fiscal, against Rs 1,167.62 crore during the same period last year, it said in a statement.

UltraTech Cement, part of the diversified Aditya Birla Group, operates an annual cement capacity of 18.2 million tonnes.
