Two terrorists remanded in custody till Oct 21
Mangalore, Oct 18 (UNI) The two terrorists, who were arrested yesterday, were today produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class(JMFC) Court here and remanded in police custody till October 21.
Police said Rafique from Bolanthoor in Daxina Kannada and Faqkir Bava from Muloor in Udupi District were arrested yesterday.
Based on the information from the duo, they raided two hide-outs in Hakkla Mane and Vittal Makki in Koppa taluk of Chikmagalore and seized equipment assembled to carry out subversive activities across the country.
Meanwhile, immigration authorities were alerted to prevent suspected terrorists, Riyaz Bhatkal, the founder of Indian Mujahideen and Mudassar Asin alias Mudu from leaving the country, police added.
Notably, four suspected terrorists having links with Indian Mujahideen outfit were arrested a fortnight ago.
