State appoints Special Prosecutor for case against former CM
Bangalore, Oct 18 (UNI) Karnataka government has appointed a special prosecutor to represent the state in its defamation suit filed against former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
In a release issued by the home department it is stated that former Karnataka High Court additional Judge Ravi B Naik had been appointed as the Special Public Prosecutor to argue the case filed against the Janata Dal(S) leader.
State Government has filed the case after Mr Kumaraswamy had alleged that Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa had illegally leased 14 acres of government land to a private real estate agency to build houses to economically weaker section and commercial space on Public private partnership basis at Ejipura in the city recently.
