Resolution on Tamils issue must be within Constitutional framework

Hyderabad, Oct 18 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was for resolution on the Lankan Tamils issue within the framework of the Constitution of that country, senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu said today.

Addressing a press conference here, he alleged that the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre was not taking constructive steps to resolve the ethnic issue in the neighbouring country.

The BJP was ready to offer constructive suggestions to the Centre, if sought, to the decade-long problem in the island nation, he added.
