Rape case against alleged hermit

Bhopal, Oct 18 (UNI) A rape case has been registered against Sant Lal Sain on the basis of a complaint by a minor in the state capital, police said today.

Superintendent of Police Jaideep Prasad said the victim had charged the Bairagarh town-based hermit with exploiting her since the past one-and-half years.

A case was registered at the Women's police station. Women police had gone to Sant Lal Sain's ashram this evening but he had fled by that time.

The 40-year-old hermit used to reside in an ashram spread across half acre land along with his about 10 disciples. His disciples hailed from New Delhi, Lucknow and other cities. Several women used to visit ashram earlier.
