Prohibitory orders imposed in Bilaspur
Bilaspur, Oct 18 (UNI) Prohibitory orders under section 144 CrPC have been imposed in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh for ensuring peaceful assembly elections, official sources said today.
''The prohibitory orders will remain in force till the end of the hustings on December 8'', Collector and District Magistrate Subodh Singh said.
He said polling in the state would be held in two phases on November 14 and 20, while all nine Assembly segments in the district figured second phase.
While distributing the copies of model code of conduct to all political parties, the Collector ordered for its effective enforcement.
