Maoist militant killed in Jharkhand

Chatra, Oct 18 (UNI) A militant was killed during an encounter between the Maoist ultras and Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) cadres near Narayanpur village under Pratap Pur police station in the district late last night, police today said.

An inter-gang rivalry had surfaced between the outfits as they vied for asserting their respective strength in the area, police said.

According to police, the body had been sent for post-mortem and a manhunt had been launched to nab the culprits.
