Jr National Athletics to be held in Mysore from Nov 12

Mysore, Oct 18(UNI) The five-day 24th National Junior Athletics Championships would be here from November 12.

Addressing media persons Chairman of the Organsing Committee G T Deve Gowda said events would be conducted for boys in the age group of under 20, 18, 16 and 14 years.

As many as 26 states had confirmed participation for event. Many national and international athletes expected to compete in these championships.

In all 156 events in different age groups would be held and more then 2600 athletes and officials from all over the country are expected to take part, he added.

The last year's championships was held at Vijayawada. Kerala had emerged overall champions.
