Dasmunsi's condition continues to be stable
New Delhi, Oct 18 : The condition of Union Information and Broadcasting Minister PR Dasmunsi, who was admitted to AIIMS on Monday after suffering a severe heart attack, remained stable today, said doctors attending to him.
Head of cardiology department VK Behl said: "But whether he is out of danger or not can only be said after his brain starts functioning properly. We are closely observing his brain condition."
The 62-year old minister was taken off the ventilator and his vital parameters, including blood pressure and heart rate are stable.
His blood sugar is under control, and kidneys and urine output are functioning normal.
Dasmunsi was admitted at around 1.35 a.m. on Monday following a complete left ventricular failure.
The senior Congress leader has a ten-year history of diabetes. This was his second heart attack in three months. Dasmunsi had suffered a heart attack July 8. He had undergone an angioplasty and stenting of two coronary arteries.
