Clash occurs in Ichalkaranji, one seriously injured

Kolhapur, Oct 18 (UNI) Tension prevailed in Shantinagar locality in Ichalkranji town of this district today, after a clash broke out between the two groups over a love affair.

The love affair between a youth and a girl belonging to 'Kanjarbhat' community was the result of the clash. The mobs went on a rampage, damaging houses and properties this afternoon, police said.

One person was seriously injured, and some seven houses and domestic properties, including TV sets and refrigerators, were totally damaged in the attack.

No arrests have been made so far. The situation in the area is tense but totally under control, they added.
