BEO arrested for irregularities

Darbhanga, Oct 18 (UNI) A Block Education Officer (BEO) and a former Mukhya were arrested for irregularities in Panchayat teachers appointment and sent to jail here today.

Police said, a case was lodged at Bahadurpur police station against the then Mukhya Suresh Laldeo and BEO Hira Sah.

Both the accused were arrested yesterday and produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, who forwarded both of them under judicial custody for 14 days.

Both the accused had been charged for committing irregularities in the merit list for the appointment.
