Anti-Scientologists' 'save Kate and Suri' campaign at her Broadway debut
London, Oct 18 : Anti-Scientology protesters swarmed Katie Holmes' Broadway debut chanting 'Run Katie, run. Scientology is a dangerous cult.'
Holmes made her official Broadway debut on Thursday with Arthur Miller's play 'All My Sons'.
The protestors were carrying signs saying, "Save Kate and Suri, keep Tom" and "Run Katie, run. Scientology is a dangerous cult."
The demonstrators made it pretty evident that they wanted Katie out of it.
"We're here to just protest against Scientology in general. But our main focus right now is getting Katie out of Scientology," The Daily Star quoted Alex Vanino, a protestor, as saying.
"There's been news going around saying she would like to get out. It's unverified but it would be nice to encourage that," he added.
Holmes and Cruise, who called the play "extraordinary" after attending the first preview last month, snuck through the stage door hours before the protest began.
