ACB officials seize unaccounted money

Hyderabad, Oct 18 (UNI) ACB officials today seized unaccounted money to the tune of of Rs 21,335 during a raid in a check post at Palamaneru in Chittoor district.

Acting on a tip-off, the officials raided the commercial taxes check post and seized the amount, an official release said here.

ACTO P Laxminarayana, Junior CT Inspectors A Subrahmanyam and S Murali Mukar, attenders B Adinarayana and S Khaza Peer and two other computer operators were on duty during the raid.

In another raid, ACB officials conducted a surprise check on the office of the Deputy Transport Commissioner, Guntur, and seized unaccounted amount of Rs 45,405 from his office, yesterday.

The ACB officials were acting on a tip-off that the official was collecting bribes from the public with the help of unauthorised RTA agents, the release added.
