MP: 4 held for dowry death in Jabalpur

Jabalpur, Oct 18: Four people, including two women, were arrested in connection with a case of dowry death of a woman at Sundera Dehi in this district's Belkheda area, police said today.

Sharda Bai Lodhi (23) was admitted to a hospital on December 22, 2007 by her in-laws in suspicious conditions where she was declared dead by the doctor.

The victim's parents lodged a complaint against Sharda's in-laws holding them responsible for her death following dowry-related atrocities.

In this regard, her husband Kishore, brother-in-law Gumman, mother-in-law Lakshami Bai and sister-in-law Binai Bai Lodhi were arrested yesterday.
