ZP engineer caught accepting bribe

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 17 (UNI) The sleuths of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a branch engineer (technical) of district Zilla Parishad (ZP) while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from the Sarpanch of Shekta village in Paithan tehsil yesterday.

According to sources, Balasaheb Shelke had demanded the bribe from Dattatraya Asaraji Bhawar to clear the file for releasing the second installment of the funds for executing a water supply scheme under Bharat Nirman Abhiyan, being carried out in the Village.

Following Mr Bhawar's complaint the ACB sleuths laid a trap in Shelke's house and arrested the accused while accepting the bribe, the sources said.
