TN advocates continue boycott, observe hunger strike
Chennai, Oct 17 (UNI) Advocates in Tamil Nadu, boycotted the courts for the second day today and observed hunger strike in support of the Sri Lankan Tamils.
After presenting a memorandum to Governor S S Barnala yesterday, demanding that the Indian Government ensure that the Sri Lanka Government stop the genocide against the Tamils and declare ceasefire, lawyers of Madras High Court observed a fast.
Lawyers in Madurai also boycotted the court and observed fast in front of the court.
Elsewhere lawyers took out rallies and raised slogans against the Lankan Government for its military offensive against the Tamils.
