'Sixth CPC anamolies need to be removed'
Coimbatore, Oct 17: Sixth Pay Commission anamolies should be removed, said Tamil Nadu Civil Services Association to the committee formed by the State Government for the Sixth Pay Commission in Tamil Nadu. State President J Raghavan, General Secretary S Nagarajan and State Advisor K Nagasubramaniam presented a memorandum to the committee.
The memorandum said that in the Fifth Pay Commission recommendations payscale for equal cadre officers were Rs 10,000 for Treasury Officer and Rs 8,000 for Deputy Collectors. The committee should consider recommending Rs 10,000 as basic pay for Deputy Collectors in Sixth Pay Commission recommendations.
The pay of the district revenue officers should be fixed at Rs 14,300 on par with Additional Directors/Additional Secretaries/Additional Commissioners. The association said that Deputy Collectors who had completed two years of service should be posted as Joint Collectors.
The officers should have the suffix TCS (Tamil Nadu Civil Service) along with their names.
