Policemen sent to custody in a bribery case

New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) A local court today remanded three Delhi policemen in police custody till October 20 in a corruption case.

Inspector K G Tyagi, Sub-Inspector Mukesh and ASI Rajbir were arreseted by Anti-corruption branch of Delhi police.

A complaint was lodged with the anti corruption branch that these policemen had taken a bribe of Rs 26 lakhs for favours in a murder case.

The accused had allegedly demanded the money from Gopal Krishan Agarawal, facing trial along with former municipal councillor Ashok Jain in connection with the murder of a builder Vijay yadav.

Gopal Agarawal's son shot a video of the bribe being demanded and received by these policemen.

On the basis of the recording, the anti corruption branch has registered a case against them.

The court also sent to judicial custody advocate Ravinder Chadda who allegedly received money on behalf of the police official.
