Parliamentary panel defers report on scam
New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) The Parliamentary Committee tasked with probing alleged "cash-for-vote" scam has deferred the submission of its report to the Speaker's office.
Committee leader Kishore Chandra Singhdeo told UNI that the panel has not yet finalised the report.
He said the Committee will hold its next meeting on October 30 and decide when to submit the report.
It is understood that the draft of the report is ready and has been circulated to the members for their feedback.
The alleged cash-for-vote scandal rocked the Lok Sabha on July 21 when some BJP members displayed wads of currency notes in the House, alleging it had been given to them to support the confidence motion moved by Prime Minister Manmohan Sngh on the Indo-US civil nuclear agreement.
