OVL to increase oil production capacity up to 20 mln tonnes by 2020

New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL), the overseas investment arm of ONGC, plans to scale up its production capacity up to 20 million tonnes of oil equivalent by 2020, ONGC CMD R S Sharma said today.

''We hope that the OVL production will be increased to 20 million tonnes of oil by 2020,'' Mr Sharma said at the 11th Energy Summit here.

Currently, OVL, having 37 projects in 17 countries, produces 8.8 million tonnes of oil equivalent a year.
