MP Police to be extra vigilant on state border

Bhopal, Oct 17 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Director-General of Police (DGP) S K Raut today issued a directive for taking measures to stop movement of criminals and conveying of weapons, across districts bordering other states, in view of assembly polls scheduled next month.

While addressing inspectors-general, their deputies and superintendents through video conferencing from here, the DGP said, ''district police officers concerned should take action after discussion with counterparts in neighbouring states. Officials on transfer should be immediately relieved of charge.'' Additional DGP (Intelligence) Surendra Singh told superintendents of naxalism-affected districts to ensure that no post was vacant in police stations.
