Medical student injured in ragging in DMCH

Darbhanga, Oct 17 (UNI) In a shocking incident, a medical student of Darbhanga Medical College Hospital (DMCH) has been admitted into it after being ragged by senior students.

According to police here today, the senior students last night forcibly picked up nine freshers, including one Rajkumar Pandit, from their houses to the hostel and beat them up mercilessly besides misbehaving with them.

Scared of ragging, the first year students of DMCH were living in private houses near the college.

After the ragging, the senior students drove Pandit out of the hostel and his condition deteriorated, police said.

Following information given by Pandit, the principal of the DMCH rescued the rest of the students from the hostel and actions were initiated against the senior students, police added.
