KHRC asks K'taka Govt details on church attacks
Udupi, Karnataka, Oct 17 (UNI) Karnataka Human Rights Commission (KHRC) has instructed the government to give its version on the recent attacks on Churches and prayer halls in various places in the State.
Speaking to newspersons here today, KHRC Member B Parthasarathy said the Commission was awaiting reactions from the state authorities before arriving at the final decision on the issue.
He said the Church authorities, in their petition to the KHRC, also submitted some documents and CD relating to the attacks and violence.
The KHRC also sought the opinion of the State Police on the incidents.
''Once KHRC receives reply from both the State Government and the State Police, the Commission would come to a conclusion regarding its findings,'' he said.
The KHRC also sought the details of FIRs filed by the police on the attacks.
