Jet reinstates all sacked employees

Mumbai, Oct 17: Jet Airways which had sacked 800 employees who were on probation on Thursday, Oct 16 has withdrawn its decision on Friday, Oct 17 and reinstated all the employees.

The decision was announced by Naresh Goyal, owner of Jet Airways as well as Saroj K Dutta, CEO at a hurridly called press conference at their office in Andheri area of North West here. Goyal said, ''all the employees are like my kids and I was pained with the decision that took place yesterday. He added he had not taking this decison under any pressure. After the sacking of employees Mahrashtra Nav Nirman Sena had taken up this issue and posters were seen at the airport saying 'no flight would be allowed to fly.' Shiv Sena, whose labour union is recognised in Jet, also jumped into the fray and said that the issue would be taken up.

However, Goyal also added that the cost cutting measures would continue in the airways as the aviation industry is facing financial crisis due to recession.
