JK: Inquiry into Anganwari workers' selection

Jammu, Oct 17: Administration has ordered an inquiry into the controversial selection of Anganwari Workers in Ramban district, keeping the list of selected candidates in abeyance, an official spokesman today said.

''Responding to the complaints of irregularities in selection of Anganwari Workers of Banihal and Ukhral ICDS blocks, Ramban District Development Commissioner A D Shanas has ordered inquiry,'' the spokesman said.

The Assistant Commissioner, Development, Ramban has been appointed as Inquiry Officer to find out the facts and the selection list has been kept in abeyance.

The DDC has asked the local public of the area and aggrieved candidates to meet the Inquiry Officer in person and provide all necessary help in the inquiry, he added.
