IGNOU to launch HEM prog for principals, managers

New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will launch in January a globally acceptable knowledge module series in higher education management (HEM) for college principals and heads of departments, to help them to handle their administrative responsibilities.

The programme, 'Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education Management (PGDHEM) targets senior training or academic staff in industries or institutions, in the levels of Managers, professional social workers or activists, senior (both in age and time) lecturers, professors, school or college principals.

The university's pro-vice chancellor Lata Pillai is the overall incharge of the programme.
