Fry-up breakfast named Brits' most unique quality

London, Oct 17 : Traditional British breakfast fry-up has been voted the most Brit thing in the country and the ideal way to brighten up the day.

The poll by Warburtons bakers was set out to find the things that make Britain so individual.

And as it turns out, the fried breakfast has been polled as the most ideal way for UK residents to brighten up their day.

Other things that uniquely symbolises Britain include the Royal Family, pubs and TV soaps.

"We wanted to find out what Britons themselves think makes their country individual," The Daily Star quoted Jane Sutton of Warburtons bakers, as saying.

He added: "The results reveal a nation that can find humour in the many eccentricities, quirks and peculiarities that set us apart, but is ultimately very proud of them."

Almost 72 percent of the 1,000 people surveyed, named the fry-up as the country's most unique quality.

Following closely behind fried breakfast were the Royals (70 percent), pubs and warm beer (67 percent), our sense of humour (62 percent) and regional accents (61 percent).

Other than that, car boots and jumble sales were also named Britain's most quirky obsessions.

And with a whopping 80 percent people voting in its favour, drinking tea won the typically British behaviour poll.
