Four injured in explosion at Uhl hydel power project site

Mandi, Oct 17 (UNI) Four persons were injured, two of them seriously, in an explosion at Uhl stage-III hydel power project site in Jogindernagar today.

According to police, the explosion occurred all of a sudden while the employees of a private company working on the site were cleaning the stores. Several houses near the project site have developed cracks due to the blast.

A magisterial inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the reasons of the blast.

Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh PWD Minister Gulab Singh Thakur expressing grief over the incident, said that the local administration had been directed to give immediate relief to the injured.
