Farm growth rate touched 4.5 per cent last year: CSO
New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) The Agriculture and Allied sectors has grown at the rate of 4.5 per cent in 2007-08, against the targeted growth of 4.0 per cent during the Eleventh Plan period (2007-08 to 2011-12).
In the revised estimates released by the Central Statistical Organization (CSO) last month, the growth rate was 3.0 per cent in first quater (April-June) of 2008-09 as per the estimates of GDP, said Mr Kanti Lal Bhuria, Minister of State for Agriculture.
