Cell Separator Maching for Kakinada Red Cross blood bank
Kakinada, Oct 17 (UNI) The Kakinada Indian Red Cross Society's blood bank has been equipped with the latest Cell Separator Machine to help in separation of platelet cells from blood.
Inaugurating the machine worth Rs 25 lakh at the Red Cross Society here today, East Godavari District Collector Gopalkrishna Dwivedi said platelet cells would be separated from blood with the help of the maching and blood cells and plasma contents would be injected back into the donors body.
Platelet cells therapy would increase platelet cells in the blood of a patient from 50,000 to one lakh.
The Collector stressed the need for creating awareness among the doctors on the use of the Cell Separator Maching.
