Bihar: Case lodged against 12 police personnel

Samastipur, Oct 17: A case has been lodged in the court of the chief judicial magistrate against 12 police personnel, including Patauri police station in-charge Dinanath Mandal, for manhandling some people.

As per the case the policemen had beaten up devotees during the Durga puja festival at Badhra Devi sthan under Patauri block of the district.

Protesting against the 'highhandedness' of the police irate people locked the Badhra Devi temple following which the idol of goddess Durga had not yet been immeresed.
