B'lore: Tatas to set-up research centre in Hesaraghatta
Bangalore, Oct 17: Karnataka Government approved 19.13 acres of land in Hesarghatta to the Mumbai-based, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. The decision of approval of land was taken in the cabinet meeting that was held on Thursday, Oct 16. "The entry of Tatas through this willact as a platform for their further expansion in Karnataka", said Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Shobha Karandlaje.
The Minister speaking to the reporters after the cabinet meeting, said, "The 19.13 acre land has been given to Tata for rent, and a rent of Rs 100 has been charged per acre".
