17-yr-old girl burnt after protest against teasing

Chhindwara, MP, Oct 17 (UNI) Two youths attempted to burn alive a 17-year-old girl at this district town today after a dispute over eve-teasing, police said.

The victim was alone at her Shivnagar Colony residence this afternoon when the masked accused doused her with kerosene, set it alight and fled. The severely-burnt adolescent was admitted to the District Hospital.

In her statement, the victim said she had a dispute with Ganesh Tiwari and Nawab after they teased her while she was heading for her coaching class yesterday. Tiwari was arrested while Nawab is absconding.
