120 bags of Ammonium Nitrate seized in AP

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Oct 17 (UNI) The police, on a tip off, intercepted a lorry clandestinEly transporting 120 bags of Ammonium Nitrate used for quarry blasting, near a old cinema theatre, in Rachapalli Village in the wee hours of today.

Police said Ammonimum Nitrate bags were stored in the theatre unauthorisedly and being shifted in the lorry when they seized the vehicle and the entire stock.

A case under Explosives act was registered.

The lorry driver and the cleaner fled from the scene and a hunt was on for them.
