TTD to distribute prasadams to prisoners

Visakhapatnam, Oct 16 (UNI) The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will distribute ''prasadhams'' of Lord Venkateswara and copies of the Bhagavad Gita to prisoners from October 28, TTD Chairman D K Adhikesavulu said today.

Addressing a gathering at an awareness meeting here, he said TTD was conducting several humanitarian programmes, including providing education for nearly 20,000 students in TTD-run educational institutions, medical facilities, free text books to girls students, financial assistance to meritorious students and distribution of Balabharathi books to the young students to inculcate human values.
