Andhra Pradesh: TTD performs betrothal to couples
Srikakulam, Oct 16: Amid chanting of mantras, the Archakas and Vedapandit of Tirumala temple have performed betrothal ceremony to three couples at Zilla parishad meeting hall during the fourth phase Kalyanamastu Awareness programme organised by TTD here today.
Spekaing on the occasion, TTD Trustee Dr M Anjaiah said the marriage system in our country especially in Hindu Society is the best for humanity love and service- mindedness and in other states in are also planning to perform such great event by impressing our Kalyanamasthu programme, TTD said in a release here.
Later, he informed that the TTD Trust Board has also taken a bold decision to make Ananda Nilayam as Swarnamayam and extend better facilities especially house sites to its employees.
He appealed to the people of Srikakulam Distrist to extend their co-operation to TTD.
ZP Chairman Rajasekhar and Municipal Chair person MV Padmavathi have requested the public to take part in the Kalyanamasthu Programe and see that many Bride and Bridegrooms to be wed locked during the event.
District Joint Collector Baskar, who presided over the function, informed the publicon the steps taken by the district administration to make the Kalyanamasthu programme a grand success.
He also requested the district official and staff to co-operate properly for the Kalyanamasthu programme, the release said.
Tirumala temple Priests, Veda pundits, leaders ,officials and public have blessed the couples.
DPP Secretary Chilkapati Vijayaragavacharyulu, Kalyanamastu Nodel Officer Dr Harinath Reddy , District Revenue-in-charge Manohar , panchayath and other officials and large number of public have attended the programme, the release added.
