Snowfall in higher reaches of HP

Shimla, Oct 16 (UNI) Higher reaches of the tribal districts of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Kullu-Manali, Pangi and Bharmour of Chamba and Dhauladhar ranges of Kangra continue to experience snowfall, bringing a considerable fall in the temperature in the state. Heavy snowfall has disrupted traffic on Killar-Jot and Tissa-Chamba roads.

The lower areas of the state, including Dharamsala, Mandi, Solan, Bilaspuir, and received Una had moderate to heavy rain accompanied by thunder showers.

Shimla recorded 4.2 mm rainfall, Sundernagar 4 mm, Bhunter 3 mm, Dharamshala 20 mm, Mandi 7mm and Manali 6 mm.

The minimum temperature in the capital town was recorded at 7.5 degrees celsius, Sundernagar 13.5 degrees Celsius, Bhunter 12.2 degrees Celsius, Kalpa 1.0 degrees Celsius, Dharamshala 9.1 degrees Celsius, Una 12.8 degrees Celsius, Nahan 18.6 degrees Celsius, Mandi 15.0 degrees Celsius, Manali 7.7 degrees Celsius and Solan 11.6 degrees Celsius.
