Nurse suspended for misbehaving with pregnant woman

New Delhi, Oct 16 (UNI) Municipal Commissioner K S Mehra today ordered suspension, with immediate effect, of Ms Anita, staff nurse of Maternity Home at Jawala Puri in West Delhi for dereliction of duty and misbehaviour with pregnant woman and her family members, an MCD spokesperson said.

It has been alleged that the timely denial of admission to the patient named Babita resulted in delivery of the child outside the Maternity Home on October 13.

It has been further alleged that the staff nurse denied entry as the patient and her attendants could not produce admission card of the Maternity Home certifying that she was undergoing treatment there.

She has also been accused of misbehaviour with patient and members of the family.
